Frequently Asked Questions and Troubleshooting

How good is the SwingPilot?

Like any other training aid, miracles will not happen by virtue of your purchase. The miracle occurs when you put the SwingPilot and its CDH method to work and you’re able to feel your golf swing motion. By following the instructions in our How It Works section, you will learn the fundamentals of golf swing motion and adapt that motion into your golf swing with ease.

How durable is the SwingPilot?

The SwingPilot is made of extremely durable Polycarbonate material which will withstand normal use without any problem.

What will happen when the disc is attached upside down?

The disc is designed to attach to the unit with “the Lettered Side Up” for durability and security. It is made with two parts: the plate and the ring. The plate of the disc is made to withstand the upward pressure from your hand during your golf swing. The only purpose of the ring of the disc is to retain the disc on the positioner (the egg-like part on the post). By attaching the disc with “the Lettered Side Up”, the plate portion of the disc automatically goes below the positioner.

The SwingPilot is difficult to slide up and down on the grip.

The SwingPilot has male and female versions and both are made to recommended standard sizes. However, the sizes and materials used on grips vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, which may cause fitting of the SwingPilot to differ from grip to grip. Positioning the SwingPilot with little force will not damage the SwingPilot. In our experience, the easiest way to position the SwingPilot to the desired position is to hold by the base of the post, then wiggle side to side, applying pressure in the desired direction.

What if the SwingPilot fits loose on the grip?

The SwingPilot has male and female versions and both are made to recommended standard sizes. However, the sizes and materials used on grips vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, which may cause fitting of the SwingPilot to differ from grip to grip. Other causes may be that the grip is worn-out or hardened. Whatever the cases may be this can be easily adjusted by taping the inside of SwingPilot. But if you feel extra tightness is needed, this can be easily adjusted by taping the inside channel of SwingPilot to suite your preference.
